A beauty pageant is a competition that focuses on the looks, physical appearance and personality of the contestants. Beauty pageants are very glamorous which include gorgeous long dresses, swimsuit wear and fashion wear (their choice) and the winners get a big crown and sash with their title. Beauty pageants are for any ages as there are different categories. The title the beauty queen wins is important to them. Example, Ms Universe. Beauty queens are dedicated to helping out in the world and do charity work to raise money for charities. Girls competing in a beauty pageant have to look gorgeous so they get their makeup, tan and hair done to stand out.
