Pop Scene

A song that is classified in one genre, but because of the style of music as well as the image portrayed by the band members it, it winds up looking like something brittney spears would be singing.
"Night Wish used to be good, but then Anette Olzen turned it into a Pop Scene."

Scene Kid

A scene kid is basically an emo kid without all the crying. Hairstyles: are usually black, sometime with blond and bright colors. Usually straightened and really BIG.Hairspray is a must. Short, choppy layors work for the girls, also side bangs. Baretts(might i suggest Hello Kitty?) and BOWS.Guys usually just straighten and everything is swept to the side. Apperance: Girls like to wear alot of eyeliner. Bright make-up. A scene girl usually wears skinny jeans or skirts. Tight t-shirts. Same with guys, but skinny jeans and a tight t-shirt. Sometimes a hat. Shoes: For girls, flats. Guys nike, converse, and vans. Same for girls. Music: A scene kid might listen to techno and house. Another might listen to hardcore techno, or just techno. Really whatever they're into. Lingo: They use really "hip" old-skool words as in rad. 80's lingo fer sure. When they're not being a scene kid: obsessing over they're apperance, perfecting their hair every moment, denying that they are so-called "scene kids", and taking pointless myspace pictures.Their myspace names usually begin with an adjective of the first letter in their name, in the back or front. i.e. Vicious Victoria, Rad Raechel, Danielle Dieing. How they act : A scene kid knows that they are scene but they will never say they are and will always deny. They act like 4 year olds and their God is basically Hello Kitty. They also love dinosaurs and adding letters after wordsss. Or just saying "Rawrrr" for fun.
Scene Kid (girl) : I hope I can be just like Audrey! *hairsprays*

Later on,

Rad Raechel: Your hair looks sooo stellar! We are so scene!
Danielle Dieing: NO. Follow the code.

Scene

A "Scene" kid is someone who is emo, but not depressed and into cutting themselves. They DON'T call themselfs scene, or else their poser. A typical scene boy is like this:

Hair-Long, choppy, usually covoring their eye(s). Some add color to it, some dont, it's their choice.

Clothes-Slim-fit band tees, skate shirts, V-necks, skinny jeans, usually black or a dark blue, but sometimes they can be bright colored or even zebra striped. Hats are sometimes worn, but your hair still needs to be in your face, your considered a "Skater" Skate shoes and/or converse are good.

Music-Unlike the myth that they listen to screamo, thats not true. Yes many of them do, but alot listen to "Techno Screamo" and some listen to rock bands like Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin.

A typical scene girl is like this:

Hair-Long, obviously, not many girls have short hair. It's normally colored, and teased, aka poofy. They add bright colored headbands to their outfits too.

Clothes-Same as a guy, excpet they'll wear cute shirts like a "Whats your beef" shirt with a plate of food with faces on it. They also wear skirts, and flats as well as converse and skate shoes.

Music-Same as a guy
John-Look at those fags over there!

Joe-Their not fags, their scene, cant you see their tight clothes?

John-Still fags to me!!

Scene

In public, you already know how to identify these kids. Unfortunately, online, there are two extreme.

1. Look for the person that seem to be using words that are meant to sound poetic and appear as though they've just freshly been looked up on thesaurus.com.

2. If not that, look for sentences and phrases that are mind-numbingling and purposefully incorrect in grammar. This can often distinguish males from females. When in doubt, look for a lot of 'X'es between their words. This is a very distinguishing factor.

If using a site that displays pictures, expect an angled photograph, likely with hair falling over at least some portion of their face.
Non-scene kid writing a simple profile for himself:

"Hi, my name is Brad an I'm 20 years old. My hobbies are biking, running, and traveling. I also enjoy music on occasion."

Poetically-accurate scene kid writing a profile for himself:

"Hey, my name is Chris and I am forever the unbearing image of a hopeless and deprived generation. The archaic means with which I conduct my activities are meant to express my undying dismay for a system which attempts to destroy my very being; a system in which I refuse to participate. Body modification and music solely encompass my crowded itinerary; if my hand isn't expressing itself on the frets of my acoustic guitar, it's expressing itself through my next tattoo design on paper. I won't even list the artists I listen to...you never would have heard of them."

Ridiculously Simple Scene Kid writing a profile:

"hi, im chelsea and im 19 yo. i enjoy things like idk, music nad drwing adn art dna fashn ndadandandan stuff like that. my boyfriend conor is the love of my life so evry1 else BACK OFF!!! <3 <3 <3 u can see me at shows and at schol evry once in a while as lng as im not skipping! xhardxcorex <3 i listen to a lot of music, but nothing u wuld no, nad uh yah add me adn we cn chat! <3"
