used to describe someone that's really fat.

when a tick is attached to an animal, it gets bigger and bigger as it sucks more and more blood.

so and so used to be really hot, but now they're blown up like a tick.

Someone who is always one step ahead (normally in academics), and is always trying to go above and beyond what is required of them. A try-hard.

One who is very low on the social and economic scale. Often found in small northern Michigan towns. A regional equivalent to low life.

Her recent behaviour might lead you to believe that she was raised by a colony of wood ticks.

To acquire something immediately but pay for it later. Most often used when buying drugs but quite valid for any kind of purchase.

There are thee possible origins of the term:

* The vendor keeps a list of who owes what, and "ticks" them off the list on payment
* The vendor has to wait, the clock is ticking
* The customer is a filthy parasite, like a tick on a dogs back.

Customer: What sandwich can I get for six-fiddy?
Vendor: Sorry, sandwiches start at eight dollars.
Customer: Can I get one on tick?
Vendor: I think not.

ricka tick

The name of a handshake on the show Tom Goes to the Mayor. Done between Michael Ian Black and the Mayor, a.k.a. Eric Wareheim, in the episode "Vehicular Manslaughter". The handshake involves feet clicks, high-fives, grinding, and the two saying words in sync.

"Ricka-ticka tick-tock tick tock-tock! Ring!! Ringa ding ding, ringa ding ding! Ricka-dick rick, ricka-dick rick, Ringa-dinga ding ding dong! Rim, rim, rim, rim!"

Ass-tick

Someone who climbs up into a persons psychological domain there by attaching themselves with the express intent of causing severe mental and physical irritation of which relief can be extremely difficult, if not impossible!

Ass-ticks will usually spring into action without motivation or encouragement, just the satisfaction of having interrupted the flow of normalcy or unnerved innocence is their reward.
