the shitty impression

When one is so inclined as to take a dump, add it to a long tube sock, then add a lock. You then smack your victim accross the face with it.
I didn't want to give the shitty impression, but how else could I break his jaw and smear shit on him at the same time?

self-impressed

what everyone in the world is all the time.

everybody thinks they're the most special thing on this earth not yet discovered, so therefore they spend their self-impressed lives doing nothing but blaming others. and even when people are famous, the credit they get goes straight to their heads and then they act pretentious and self-impressed all the time, yes everybody.
you're so damn self-impressed by everything you do that i need no other reason to hate you and all that you might have been. show a little humility next time, sucker.

impregnable

(adj.) A female who has had too many abortions to ever bear child.

(adj.) to be unpenetrable by enemy forces.
Many britons believe thier island to be impregnable, but it has actually been invaded over 60 times since 1066. Fortunately, none of these were at all successful due to either poor planning or brilliant defensive mechanisms. Britain as a whole was only conquered once, by the roman empire, who actually took several attempts and centuries to do so. The vikings and saxons had very little in comparison to what Britain would later achieve.

Imprisoned in the elevator

The situation where a promising idea / proposal / project either dies or is in development far too long and thus emerges too late, missing its moment, because of excessive amendment-and-approval requirements.

"Imprisoned in the elevator" is usually a product of:
(a) there being too many people in the organization whose sole purpose seems to be to wander around finding pies to put their fingers in but who add nothing to the "recipe" even though they can force others to make changes; or
(b) mandated internal processes which mandate that the approvals process be repeated for every change to the project, however minor; or
(c) managerial timidity, because moving something up and down is easier than risking one's neck with a firm yes or no.

Result: a viable or even great idea doesn't make it out the door on time or at all because it keeps repeatedly moving up and down the approval levels as each change has to be reviewed, re-reviewed and approved and re-approved The project stays in the building because it has been imprisoned in the elevator, never getting out, just forced to go up and down.
"Hey, did your online information project get done, Dan???"
"Nope. It's imprisoned in the elevator."

First Impressionist

An individual who can read people and adjust his or her personality to fit their so-called expectations.

The ability to read others and yet still remain unreadable yourself.
I met the new temp at work and since I am a first impressionist I can read her and know she is interested in more qiet guys than loud party-goers. So fixed my personality to be less outgoing and more shy towards her.
