Rochester is a small town located in Southern Ma. It was once the area of Marion and Mattapoisett as well, but it was separated into 3 separate towns naming it the tri-town. However, it is less known out of the three towns... basically because it is mostly trees.
There is a center of town, with a place to eat, a market, a bank, a bookstore, a daycare, and a hair salon - and they are all connected. Across the street is the post office, the library, the town hall, and a church. Other than that, two other stores on either side of town, that could almost be considered in Freetown (Lloyd's Market), and Wareham (Adrian's).
The town carries the nickname of "cow town" even though no one has ever seen a cow there, just horses. They do hold a 'County Fair' every year but it is extremely pathetic and people pretend to be country. It's actually hilariously incorrect and a waste of time.
The elementary school district is fantastic, and all of the kids are friends. Then once the kids reach 7th grade, they are mixed with the little bitches from Marion and Mattapoisett, where the clicks are formed and the drama begins.
The cheerleaders are surprisingly NOT the popular girls, in fact the dance team gets cheered on more than they do. The popular kids are the jocks, any girl or guy to play a sport. The teachers treat the students like they are in preschool and add stricter rules each year.

Get the Newton Massachusetts mug.Essentially the epitome of angsty teenage boredom, Acton, Massachusetts is a small suburban town an hour out of its state's capital city, Boston.
The town is vastly overpopulated, mostly by Asians who have moved into tiny townhouses that were erected in places that either used to hold forests or recreational buildings. Due to the constant demand for housing, more and more locations initially meant for entertainment are being destroyed to build complexes.
Their high school is largely filled with dumb jocks with vocabularies as broad as that of the average fourth grader's, and coked-out whores who are unnaturally thin and unnaturally blond.
The most common activities for these bored teenagers are smoking marijuana behind the bowladrome, getting drunk in public, complaining about how boring Acton is, throwing up the horrible low-quality Asian food at Harmony's restaurant, and having orgies.
Also, a good number of crazy people live here. A prime example is the demographic of girls who were obsessed with horses in middle school and now hook up with boys at random, go out of their way to hit on men who obviously don't want them, and make ridiculous youtube channels that make them look like schiziophrenic nutcases.
I would not suggest vacationing here.

Get the Acton, Massachusetts mug.The shitiest town you have ever been to, if I had to rate it on yelp I would give it -5 stars. The people are fake, snobby, and close minded. There is no diversity or jobs. Everyone pretends to be rich but they are poor and live in McMansions. It is seemingly forever aways from everything like Boston and providence. The town architecture is amazing though, with glorious cooling towers and beautiful abandon power plants. 1/2 the houses overlook the highway and the school system sucks as much as the polluted river the town sits next to and praises. I learned nothing in the school system because I was put into sped classes because there was no more room in the high level classes because 1/2 the kids parents call into the school to get their kids into higher classes, but I just call those kids “call in’s”. If you are stuck in this shitty town like I was I recommend applying for diman or Bristol Aggie.

Get the Oxford, Massachusetts mug.A safe town based on factual data. A town that offers many affordable youth recreation activities through the town rec department. A town that is not overrun with commercial industry, yet financially benefits from industry on the town borders. Excellent schools. A place that has very poor sports fields for youth athletics compared to surrounding towns that have invested in artificial turf that saves money over time. A town that is fiscally conservative. A town with down to earth, hardworking people.
