Bait and Switch

In a game of Halo 2 or 3 when in a situation of two on one where players A and B are on the same team and X is on the opposing team. Player A engages in a fire fight with the opponent (player X) lowering their shields substantially and in the process losing most or all of their shields. Before player A is killed he retreats into a room or cover and player B emerges a half moment later. Player X believes that he is being faced with the same enemy and moving in for the kill. In reality he is at a disadvantage and is killed by the fully shielded player B.

I thought that guy was either being really brave or really stupid, charging back out after i had his shields flashing....turns out it was a different guy. I got bait and switched.

Scientology with less religion, defined by the economic advantage of conning in a customer (or oftenly 'sucker') by teasing them in with a deal or other great benefit but then as they are about to pay the deal are told that the original product is not available but that a substitute is. They then employ the people to then buy a more expensive item. The original product is never revealed to the person, it is an easy economic trick

When a girl knows a guy is going break up with her, she has sex with him with the intention of getting pregnant so that he will not leave her.

Julia pulled a bait and hatch on Juan and it worked. He stayed with her for the sake of the baby.

Bait Skeen

1. A term used to describe an individual who frequents in "bait" behavior and "baiting out". Bait behaviour often includes blatant cannabis induced inhibition (characterised by over-exaggeration, loudness, and paranoia). Baiting-out refers to a brief stoner spasm where an individual reaches ridic levels of "baitness".

2. A term to describe a blazing location that is a "hotspot" or "heavily in the public eye". Bait Skeen cotches often provide stoners with an adrenalin rush, knowing that they could be intruded upon at any moment.

3. A term to describe a situation that exemplifies the doctrine of "baitness".

bait and tackle

To intentionally post a status message on a social network (facebook or myspace) that contains an inside joke, quote, song lyric, etc. that you know a certain person you are interested in is aware of/likes. This supposedly causes said person to become more interested in you.

Stalker: I see that Susie is on! I know she likes the Beatles, so I'll just bait and tackle her with lyrics from Twist and Shout. That'll make her like me a whole lot more!
