a guy who likes to make people like him, just so he can then put them down for his own gain. will go out of his way to make you laugh, and then go further out of his way to hurt you, either with sarcasm, name calling, or some other type of humiliation to continue to stroke his ego. he knows you enjoy the laughter he gives you, so you'll tolerate it. usually does this with female love interests but may also behave this way with friends, colleagues, and family members.

girl: kenny hasn't talked to me in a week! i really miss him.
friend: why not?
girl: i don't know. i stopped by his house but he wouldn't come out. wish he was here to cheer me up. he is so funny.
