When someone tells themselves or believes in something thats a delusion to make them feel better about themselves or their situation in life.
Example:
John: Dude im an 8/10, a girl I like said i was.
Jimmy: Are you dating this girl?
John: No she friendzoned me. She said I wasn't her type.
Jimmy: John your obviously not an 8/10, if you were she wouldn't have friendzoned you. Saying "you're not my type" is a virtue signal, meaning she doesn't find you attractive. Stop Coping, exept reality, and reject delusion.

He is very cool, yet acts nice and caring some times, he has a very small dick but makes up for it with his super halrious jokes. He will normally be the first to do things that no other will do and normally regrets the descion while in the process of doing it. If you meet a Michael copes you will most likely become his friend because of the way he acts around lots of people. Horrible in bed, but a great friend. All ladies beware of the mans small dick.

When a person spends more time in coping than actually solving the problem. It is similar to concepts like the tutorial hell
A: To handle this situation emotionally, I need to listen to music, make sport and meditation and play the games I like. B: Bro and when you actually solve your Problem? You entered the coping hell again!
