During the beginning of a romantic relationship, both partners put forth due dilligence to continually express their best qualities in hopes of securing their partner's love, thus allowing the campaign to end.

The campaign is also considered officially over when one or both individuals:

a. fart in front of the other
b. begin to 'let themself go'
c. reveal the heinous aspects of their character that up to this point have been painstakingly masked and concealed
d. admit to be currently suffering from rupadupalus

When playing the game of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, a Campapotomus is someone who sits in a corner with a hearbeat sensor and/or ranger or model shotguns, this is most annoyin during Search and Destroy when the only person left is a campapotomus and everyone who is dead is forced to watch him.

Jack, "Ugh i got killed by another campapotomus and I was one away from a stupid chopper gunner"

Justin, "I'm sick of these campapotomuses its like every time I turn a corner he's blasting me with his rangers He just doesn't move.
