Since its posting on Youtube, hundreds of parodies and performances have sprung up on the website from countries around the world, making it one of the most popular dances ever. One video shows hundreds, perhaps thousands of Japanese cosplayers blocking an entire street to perform the dance shortly before they are dispersed by the presence of Tokyo Police.
