It is a word that fills gaps or lulls when talking. For people that are trying to bridge things together in a conversations and usually expressed in an argumentative way. A word when recovering from an accusatory question or statement.

David: "Did you throw up last night?"

Kelly: "Yeahbutum I did it with style!"

Yeahbut is the combination of yeah and but usually use in argumentative conversation.

#1) Parental: hey get in the shower.

#2) Child: (Yeahbut) i got in the shower first yesterday.
