Wikiality may be defined as: "An entry on wikipedia that enough people agree with becomes the truth. Anyone can logon and change it, and then it becomes wikiality."

Derivation: from wikipedia and reality

Term first used on the satirical news program "The Colbert Report" by Stephen Colbert, 7-31-06

Wikiality

A word coined by Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report meaning Wikipedia's reality. Anything said by wikipedia, which may or may not be contrary to actual reality. A Democracy on facts.

wikiality

A bullshit idea coined by those who are too incompetent and lazy to bother critically analyzing their information sources, and so they would rather get their information from printed encyclopedias, which as everyone knows are absolutely never wrong or biased in any way.
Elephant population tripled according to Wikipedia, so that's wikiality. Of course, that entry lasted for about 20 minutes before it was edited and has remained correct since... but proving Wikipedia works is the same as proving it doesn't.
