Scooby-Doo this crap

When the writers of a film run out of funny and interesting dialogue and resort to using a pop-culture reference as a cheap gag.
"Hey Erik?"
"Yeah Chris?"
"What should we have the wizard man tell the kids to continue the plot in a funny way?"
"idk, make him say "Scooby-Doo this crap", that'd be hilarious."

Scooby Doo

Cartoon mystery TV show for kids. The "gang" travel around in a colorfully painted van called "The Mystery Machine" solving puzzles.

The gang consist of a talking dog named Scooby Doo, a hippy named Shaggy, a short brainiac named Thelma and two others whose names escape me.

There was also an annoying puppy introduced into the series named "Scrappy Doo", evidentally placed there to try to extend the target audience to toddlers.

As a young boy I figured out early on that nine times out of ten the bad guy was the first person the gang met.

The cartoon were made into two partly non-animated movies. The first one featured the great Rowan Atkinson.
Me: Oh I see you're watching Scooby Doo. I'll bet the bad guy is the first person they met.

My Sister: No way. The first person they met was a cop.

At the end of the show:

Me: See... I told you it was the cop!

Scooby Doo

The whole point of the show was to investigate mysteries.

To 'Scooby Do' something means to check it out....
We heard about this party, so we 'Scooby Doo'd' it, and but LEO already busted it.

Scooby Doo Logic

The concept of, whenever something bad or sketchy happens, splitting up. It was originally applicable in the to moments in the show, Scooby Doo, when the gang was in a group and then splits up to gather clues (often with moderate success and then complications, e.g. Velma loses her glasses). Usage now, though, has come to generally be in regards to two or more people separating, or "splitting up," when it seems illogical to do so.
"What the fuck? You're breaking up with me?" said the boyfriend.

"Yes," said the girlfriend.

"I can't believe that you're splitting up with me! This shit is fucking Scooby Doo Logic!" he screamed.

The Scooby Doo Effect

When someone undeservingly stumbles upon success, through sheer luck and usually minimal skill of their own, similar to that of the cartoon character Scooby Doo who would often catch the villain by literally stumbling upon them, usually after he had fallen over or been involved in some sort of zany accident.
Person 1: Hey, how'd you go in that exam?
Person 2: Dude I got like 95%
Person 1: How? I got like 65% and you told me you didn't even study
Person 2: It's the Scooby Doo Effect man.
