One who devotes a large proportion of their life preparing for a doomsday type event. Common personality traits of the prepper are: hoarding of food, water, toiletries, etc. generally affected more so than others by conspiracy theories, typically anxious, worrisome, & especially paranoid.

Hearing of an ever slight chance of an asteroid impacting Earth, the prepper built an underground bunker & stocked it with can goods & toilet paper.

A prepper is someone that creates a plan, gathers resources, and gains skills so that they can be more prepared for emergencies, disasters, and other survival situations.

Similar to survivalists, and a ‘doomsday prepper’ if their focus involves specific doomsday scenarios.

Becoming a prepper helped me through 3 hurricanes and a pandemic so far, we’ll see what’s next!

-A person preparing, or "prepping" for the day they will deactivate their account because Facebook either begins charging for their services, or Big Brother takes over the entire site. Prepping activities include gathering friends' email addresses & other important contact information, deleting or at least backing up all photos, and censorship/deletion of all questionable Facebook activity.
