Pandemantine

Origin: A portmanteau of the adjective pandemic and the noun quarantine.

Definition: A state or period of isolation in which normally innocent, happy individuals are indefinitely confined and isolated due to a global health crisis, environmental disaster, and / or political unrest.

Symptoms include a heightened level of anxiety or depression; the propensity to overindulge in the excessive consumption of alcohol, recreational and / or prescription drugs; as well as the use of the internet to engage in the inappropriate pursuit of exotically beautiful women who are geographically remote, emotionally volatile, and otherwise generally incapable of following instructions. I developed a schoolboy crush on Isabelle during the pandemantine of 2020 because she kept pestering me with innuendo when there was no one else to sustain my sanity.

Pandesal

A Filipino bread, so tasty you don't need any fillings and it'll taste like heaven made bread.
The dough is a lean variety, with yeast, flour, salt and sugar.

Pan de sal means “bread of salt” in Spanish, for the pinch of salt added to the dough. It was introduced to the Philippines in the 16th century as the Spaniards' answer to the French baguette.
