Kriol is Belizean Creole, a national language in the country of Belize.
When the British were colonizing the country (then British Honduras) they brought West African Slaves to the land. The Africans, in need of a common language, took English and made it their own so that the British could not understand them.
It is now the most unifying of the many lanuages spoken in Belize as it is spoken by the majority of Belizeans, no matter their race nor culture.
