Kilton Toss

A Scottish bowling technique used in the sport of cricket.
Users of this technique are frowned upon as it was deemed an “illegal throw” in professional cricket as of March 2017. (Law. 213)

This was due to an exceeding rate of fatalities in the sport.

The action consists of an unusual twisting and double shoulder rotation whilst rolling 3 fingers across the “bald spot” of the cricket ball. Players with short/stumpy/chubby fingers and hands are at great advantage of performing the kilton toss to the highest ability”

A Scottish cricketer made famous for the toss - John Blain, credits his overweight grandmother for the technique.
