When someone you are talking to or sitting next to or eating a meal with ,pulls out any digital device but most likely a phone and starts texting, scrolling, zooming etc. It is mainly used as verb as a way of drawing attention to the essentially disrespectful, offensive and tedious practice of inserting a digital device between you and your interlocutor without asking.
