baby hook

A woman (occasionally a man) who isn't a hooker or escort but rather is a sugarbaby with multiple sugardaddy or sponsor that are giving her an allowance for sex. These women delude themselves in to thinking they're not being paid for sex though the men are traditionally old enough to be their fathers or even grand-fathers in certain instances. Once they get a taste of the ease of money, many move from having 1 sugardaddy to multiple, blurring the lines of prostitution thus "baby hookers" or a "baby hook".

Tony: I met a new girl named Crystal last week and we're in an arrangement.
David: Me too! I though I was the only sugardaddy she had, she must be a baby hook

Fish Hook Theory

The theory that centrists and the far-right on the political spectrum are in-fact very close. Created in response to the Horseshoe theory equating the far-left to the far-right due to similar tactics (despite having fundamentally opposing beliefs), the theory states that centrists allowing the far-right to preach their beliefs will allow the far-right to grow greater and lead to the rise of fascism again; it suggests that centrists pave the way for fascism and so the two parties are part of the same problem. Whilst there have been cases made for this theory, it is mainly used to satirise and discredit the Horseshoe Theory.

If I'm gonna be forced to see thousands of people including mass media pushing the horseshoe theory, then I will make your eyes look at the Fish Hook Theory too.

A phrase stated after something/someone has been easily fooled or lured in. It has its roots in fishing lingo, referring to a fish having fallen for the bait easily; swallowing the hook, the fishing line, and the sinker along with it.

Hook you up

The act of "hooking someone up" is a slang phrase that can refer to one of two things:

1. To help set someone up with a romantic interest in an attempt to act as a matchmaker.
2. To help someone obtain a product, good, or service, usually at a reduced price than what is commonly found. This is usually facilitated by the fact that the person doing the "hooking up" usually has some connections and/or insider knowledge that they can utilize to help obtain the reduced prices.

Bob: Good morning, Stan! So I heard that you're looking to buy a new bicycle?

Stan: Yeah, but I've been scouring the internet all weekend, and all the prices are ridiculous. Can't find any affordable bikes nowadays.

Bob: Actually, I have a friend whose brother runs a bicycle shop in the next town. Want me to hook you up?

Stan: That'd be awesome! Thanks!
