Hoeflation (noun): A term used to describe the phenomenon where women, often influenced by social media, celebrity culture, and modern dating apps, raise their standards or expectations for partners, particularly in terms of wealth, status, or appearance, while failing to offer the same level of value or qualities in return. This leads to an imbalance where expectations for a high-value partner are inflated, but the individual themselves is seen as not meeting the same standards. It’s often viewed critically, as contributing to unrealistic expectations in modern dating dynamics.
