it's a sad fact that a lot of hardstyle trax are cheap copies of hardcore trax.
hardstyle usually is slower than hardcore (about 150 bpm) but faster than trance.
the style more agressive than trance but more melodic and "housy" than hardcore.
there are different styles all ready.
