A saying from the olden days.

It means that something is good and filling/fatty, this was mostly used to explain how good certain meat was!

It is now more commonly used in fighting games when an attack does alot of damage to your opponent.

Audacious and/or unpalatable. Can be used to describe something with an exaggerated negative connotation.
