A horrible tasting, rock hard food that you give to your least favorite people. Fruitcakes are often as tough as a boulder and as appetizing as one. Due to their inedible nature, fruitcakes are often regifted (or rarely gifted) to someone (often a disliked person).

Little Johhny received a fruitcake from his wife's sister for Christmas. Because it was harder than a rock, he regifted it to his annoying sister, Margret, for New Years.
