Fripster

The unholy union of Frat Guy + Hipster. A meathead in a dork's clothing- a phenomenon that is unfortunately growing all the more common as "underground" fashions push their way to the surface and into the mainstream.

I laughed for days when I saw a fripster run a stoplight get hit by car while riding his new fixed gear. Maybe he'll put a brake on it when he gets out of the hospital.

To walk around in a state of simulated dishevelment: particularly wearing an overly long sweater with the sleeves pulled over the hands and clenched from the inside, channelling Morrissey from his Smiths days or Robert Smith from the Cure, ideally combined with walking somewhat chaotically and your head lolling from side to side. A particularly common affliction in disaffected middle class teenagers who have discovered early post-goth 'miserablist' bands.

James is looking very frapsy today, but I know he bought that sweater from the Gap yesterday.

1. To simplistically re-direct any comment, question, statement etc., to the initial source by replacing the subject pronoun with an emphasised 'YOU', often with underlying irrelevant sexual connotations.

2. The exclamation made by the observer of 1, as well as the knock-on effect and pack mentality that often ensues.

Person 1: "Did you put my t-shirt somewhere?"

Person 2: "Yeah, it's in the corner"

Person 1: "I'll put YOU in the corner"

Person 3: "Flipsy-doo!"

Person 4, 5, 6 etc: "Flipsy-doo! Flipsy-doo!"

An overpriveleged, conservative asshole whose early-twenties "rebellious stage" entails but is not limited to: hard drug experimentation, attempts to participate in the indie/electronic scene, and pretending to tolerate people of different ethnicities, views, and sexual orientations.

I saw some kids in pink polos doing ecstacy at that show last night. Fripsters are ruining this town's music scene.
