FrankenMac

A usually fully functional almost-Apple Macintosh computer rebuilt from various dead-Mac pull-out and commodity PC parts to avoid Apple's high prices for similar Apple-sourced but functionally identical parts. A cousin somewhat to the Hackintosh.

Jim got a bunch of Apple and non-Apple parts from some dead Macs, PCs, and his own workbench and cobbled together a little FrankenMac. Not quite as pretty but it works fine.

Frankenteen

Conjunction between the words Frankenstein (one of the main characters in the homonym novel written in 1818 by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. He is described as an eight-foot-tall, hideously ugly creation of Dr. Victor Frankenstein) and Teen (teenager)

Is used to describe a person between the ages 15 to 18 (usually male) who has a greater than average height (but does not suffer any kind of genetic or endocrine abnormalities that cause a medical condition known as gigantism). Standard height size can vary depending on the country for e.g. Argentina 1.745 m (5 ft 8 1⁄2 in), Australia 1.784 m (5 ft 10 in), Canada 1.760 m (5 ft 9 1⁄2 in), China 1.663 m (5 ft 5 1⁄2 in), Mexico 1.630 m (5 ft 4 in), U.K. - England 1.776 m (5 ft 10 in), U.S.A. 1.763 m (5 ft 9 1⁄2 in).

It’s very common for gleeks to use this word to describe one of the main characters Finn Hudson (portrayed by Cory Monteith)

Frankentoe

When a girl has a really long, weird or misshapen toe. Guys can have them too but it is a little more acceptable for guys to have weird feet. The toe can even be named something other than Frankentoe.

I really think your Frankentoe is getting larger - that's just not right.

Frankenapp

FrankenApp - when a software vendor ports desktop software to new mobile platforms without any consideration for what the user wants or how the new UI paradigm can change the user experience...under these conditions, it is a FrankenApp.

I checkout out Excel for the iPAD yesterday. I accidentally hit the show all Toolbars command and the entire screen turned into toolbars. Talk about a Frankenapp!

frankenpattern

To pattern using multiple styles and mis-matched pattern pieces. The end result is a combination of the garments that leaves the patternmaker horrified as to how it was put together, but usually no one else knows that from the end result. (phew!)
