Fasting is the activity you did during daytime hours (from dawn to dusk) on Tuesday, April 2nd 2024. As this date coincided with the fasting month of Ramadan, so did the rapper Quavo's birth on Tuesday, April 2nd 1991.

Last Tuesday, April 2nd, I joined my friends for fasting during Ramadan, and we celebrated Quavo's birthday too—it was a day full of reflection and good vibes!

Myspace Fasting 

(verb) Abstaining from checking one's Myspace; much like religious fasting from meals. Can last anywhere from a few hours to a few months, depending upon the strength of the one fasting. It is a technique / method used to recover after certain events including:
1) Strong addiction to myspace, networking, and an unusual obsession with browsing through friends' profiles, pictures, comments, bulletins etc.
2) MyspaceSTDS from constant w4w (whore-for-whore), pc4pc (picture-comment-for-picture-comment), c4c (comment-for-comment), and other access to private territory i.e. private profile.
3) Avoiding contact with/seeing someone that you no longer want any affiliation with. Especially seen after breakups; the victim no longer wishes to read the bulletins and comments between the ex & the new girl/guy.
4) Poor/deteriorating performance within school or the workplace.

Example 1: "My grades are starting to go down and I can't focus at work because I'm always on Myspace! I think I'm going to go Myspace fasting for awhile, at least until I can straighten my life out."

Example 2: Tina: "Hey, your last login on Myspace was 2 weeks ago! Why haven't you been on?"
Allie: "Yea, I'm Myspace Fasting for awhile. I'm sick of seeing all the annoying, lovey comments between Noah and his new girl. And he moved me down on his top friends!"

slash fasting 

A period in which one, usually a yaoi fangirl, gives up yaoi or slash for one month. It is very helpful treatment for those without lives.

It started when Lii decided that her life had become way too centered around something that didn't accomplish anything, and gave it up. She was born a new woman.

The original and traditional period to fast is the month of October, starting on Bloody Sunday (the last Sunday in September) and ending on All-Slashers Day, which is Halloween. All-Slashers Day is not usually full of feasting and parties, for the transition of normal human being to rabid fangirl takes time.

Other months work also, depending on your events. October doesn't work well due to intense popularity of The Rocky Horror Picture Show during this month. Late Spring could be an option, but it hasn't been tested.

Facebook fasting 

To refrain from going on facebook for a certain period of time. This often comes after the realization that too much time has been wasted on facebook resulting in real life problems. In the even of a relapse, an individual is said to pull a triple F (see Failed Facebook Fast).

John was spending all his time on facebook instead of working. He had to go facebook fasting for a few days to catch up on his work.

Jerk-off Fasting 

Also referred to as "Jerk-off Diet", A technique used by men where you do not jerk-off for 3 or more days straight to obtain the most pleasure possible for when you finally do jerk-off after your fasting.

Brian: "Dude, i don't get pleasure from jerking off anymore."

Fiesta Fasting 

The act of deliberately choosing not to eat before partying in order to get drunker much faster than normal.

John knows he's going to have to play catch-up at the party, so he plans on fiesta fasting beforehand in order to elevate his buzz to a whole new level.
