Doing stuff the hard way instead of choosing the easy way to do it. Usually like doofenshmirtz from phineas and ferb does.

1.In one of the episodes in Phineas And Ferb, doofenshmirtz uproots a whole clock tower for convenient access and information of time; instead of buying a simple clock or a watch, known as Doofenshmirtzing.

From the Disney cartoon, "Phineas and Ferb". He often compiles schemes using more complicated measures than necessary to move one step closer to controlling the Tri-State Area. However, due to clumsiness, forgetfulness, or a lack of thinking things through, he is doomed to a humorous defeat at the hands of his sharp-witted arch-nemesis, Perry the Platypus, a secret agent for a network of undercover animals.

"We have reports that Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is building another one of his machines , though we don't know exactly what he plans to use it for. Go find him and put a stop to this, Agent P!"

Her blog also contained thinly veiled work stories.
