To spin a dit would be to make a claim about an event which is usually extravagant but you, in your own mind believe is legitimate and such an erratic story will perhaps boost your street cred. Most other people with you will realise the nauseating exaggeration of such a story and tune promptly out.

A phrase meaning "I do the same" or "same." Abbreviation of "literally ditto." On state and formal occasions such as when in white tie, black tie, morning dress, court dress or full dress uniform, or an any occasion of more formality than is usual for the speaker (funeral, dinner party of more than 4 persons, garden party) the phrase may be augmented to befit the state nature of the circumstance whence it becomes "literally ditterally."
