Demographic Redlining refers to the practice of using statistical data and demographic information to systematically discriminate against specific populations, often leading to their exclusion from services, opportunities, or resources. This term is derived from "redlining," a discriminatory practice where services (like banking, insurance, and access to jobs) are denied to residents of certain areas based on their race or ethnicity.
The senator told the public that the bill would make elections safer, but by using Demographic Redlining all it really did was suppress his opponent's voting demographics.
