1. Bot. Tree that belongs to the Gentianales order, Rubiaceae family, Psychotria genus, Psychotria viridis species. Native to the Amazon region, the chacrona is 4m to 7m tall, of a napiform root, has a woody, cylindrical stem, and a diameter of 10 to 20 centimetres or more.
