Get the ameshia mug.Being a term similar to the Indonesian slang term "ngebaduy", this term "amishing" refers to the occurrence where a group of people deliberately choose to go AFK from the modern world and "wean" from modern technology (e.g. electricity, smartphone). Please note that the suffix "-ing" is similar to the Indonesian prefix "nge-", which turns a noun into a verb.
After a week of amishing in the woods, we felt rejuvenated and more connected to nature without our smartphones.
