They're compared to Mafia because they're aggressive againt everyone that isn't part of the community and they always kill people because sex between gays doesn't make any children. Get the Alphabet Mafiamug. Originally used as a term to make fun of lgbtqia+ people as the joke was that there were so many terms it seemed like the mafia with its ranks. Now the term has been coined in tiktock and now is a way to tell someone you're lgbtia+ along with different names for each identity.
Examples include general (gay), lieutenant (lesbian), brigadier (bisexual), major general (trans), etc.
