Get the Zosomug. Zoso actually is just the name people gave a "nameless" Led Zeppelin album. Zoso is an attempt at pronoucing some Celtic symbols that appear on the album cover. The symbols are there because Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were really into the Lord of the Rings books. (that's no joke, where do you think all the "black magic" stuff about Jimmy comes from?)

Get the Zosomug. Zoso is not a word but rather, a symbol. The original symbol was used by Cardano in 1557, which he used as the magickal sigil for saturn, the planet that rules capricorn, Jimmy Page's Sign. Jimmy took this sybol and changed parts of it. The true meaning is one only known to him. In short it is an adapted occult symbol..

Get the zosomug. The Zoso symbol first introduced by Jimmy Page on the untitled fourth Led Zeppelin album, was lifted largely from Austin Osman Spare's "Zos" drawing. A likely interpretation of Spare's Zos idea had to do with two concepts, relating to the life force in us all, and also the animal or beast side of us all as well. In addition, Aleister Crowley also has a "So is O" concept, found in his book Equinox of the Gods. It is another expression for self-identification with the "beast". Also, if you say "So is O" fast enough it sounds almost identical to saying Zoso. Crowley and Spare knew each other, so certainly there is a connection here, and Page was clever enough to combine the two concepts (which are actually the same in essence) into his one Zoso symbol!
Zoso is not actually a word, but a symbol. But then again, aren't words just symbols of something else anyway? We have given Webster way too much power...

Alford's Occult Crimes Investigations "Signs and Symbols of Occult/Devil Worship" list also includes a sigil that looks like the word "ZOSO" with the interpretation: "Demon: 3 headed dog that guards gates to hell." "ZOSO" has been popping up in various so-called manuals on "occult related crime" for years. It is usually defined in these manuals as: "ZOSO: The three headed dog that guards the gates of Hell."
Medieval magicians believed that each spirit had a seal or sigil which identified it or which was related to it. This was probably because it was customary for people to use seals of distinctive designs to seal letters as a form of signature in those days. The argument seems to have been that if people had them, spirits must have them too. "Zoso" is a sigil which is related to the planet Saturn. In modern times you will find it on the album covers and record labels of the British rock group "Led Zeppelin." A good example, can be found on the dust cover of the album "Led Zeppelin IV".
