He is, to date, the only African-American (and generally the only minority) to ever win a top-level NASCAR race. He pulled off this victory back in December 1, 1963.

Wendell Scott won a NASCAR race back in '63. Now, will Bill Lester, who's also black, be able to pull off the same feat today?
