A webulebrity or webuleb is a person who is famously recognized in a society or culture by way of the internet. Very few use weblebrity to describe this occurrence, for webulebrity sounds better.

Amber Lee Ettinger became a webulebrity by using her youtube channel, barelypolitical, to promote the election of Barack Obama. Her popularity rose and she became known simply as Obama Girl.

Other notable webulebrities include; Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan, Alexis Jordan, iJustine, Z Frank, accents girl Amy Walker, David Choi, Esmée Denters, Mia Rose, Greyson Chance, et cetera

You: Oh, nah, she's just a webuddy. We don't really talk to each other in real life.

Webdev syndrome

When a person gets an advanced engineering degree like Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc. then just decides that they want actually want to make websites and ends up becoming a web developer just because that's the trend.

I thought he was going to make major contributions to the field of electronics but unfortunately, he fell victim to the webdev syndrome.

"Hey, why is he making website for this random coffee shop? Didn't he have an Aerospace Engineering degree?"
- "Yeah...but sadly he developed webdev syndrome recently"
