Cry-typing

An informal, archaic method of online communication in which a person, via a social media platform or SMS text, expresses something, whilst conveying significant sadness or distress, typically signified by the excessive and incorrect usage of commas, semicolons and intentional typos throughout the message; this occurs typically to the extent that the message is nearly incomprehensible, entirely.

Historically, this means of communication was predominantly used by Tumblr and twitter users, 4Channers and other various types of online degenerates, and is outdated for its extremely obnoxious nature.

Girlfriend: babe my plant just died ugh

Boyfriend, trying to smash: o::;mg bae,,,, n;o....., that plan;;;t meea nnt;;;; the wo:;;;,,,rld to m;;;e.......

skype-typing

Using an instant message service to communicate while video-call skyping with the volume turned off. No verbal words are necessary during the conversation, but you can still see the person you're talking to.

Nick-Hey can we skypetype tonight? I wanna see you but I cant talk everyone will be asleep.

Hannah-Yeah I wanna skypetype tonight! I dont want to wake people up but I still get to see you, skype-typing is awesome!

Sleep Typing

The act of unconsciously typing nonsense while half asleep in a Messenger conversation. The nonsense is usually ridiculously misspelled words, or just complete gibberish.

Jenna: OMG Fred, what are you doing up so late?
Fred: PHusicdp aper die tmrowqqwr
Jenna: Are you sleep typing?

Jenna: Last week, I was talking dirty to Fred over messenger and he FELL ASLEEP.

drop tuning

guitar tuning where the bottom string is a perfect fifth lower than the next string, enabling the guitarist to play a powerchord with only one finger. the other strings are tuned the same as standard tuning. mostly used in metal.
