Traumaste generally means the trauma in me recognizes and honors the trauma in you; it occurs when someone with symptoms of trauma witnesses someone else exhibiting the same symptoms and realizes they each share a traumatic history without the other person telling them about it.
When Michelle told Lisa how afraid she was to be alone on an elevator with a man, Lisa responded with, “traumaste,” letting Michelle know Lisa also had a similar fear stemming from a traumatic incident with a man in her past.

A traumapot might present itself as a trauma support group, a safe space for survivors, a community for those with shared painful experiences. Every vulnerability is cataloged, every trigger noted, every member a potential target. When the trap springs, the damage is maximal, targeted, and devastating.
Example: "The 'PTSD support server' seemed like a lifeline—survivors sharing coping strategies, supporting each other, healing together. The moderators were so understanding, so compassionate. Then, one night, they revealed themselves: every trigger documented, every trauma cataloged, every member targeted. Messages flooded in, each designed to cause maximum pain—images, words, memories carefully chosen to wound. The traumapot had been cultivated for months, and now it was harvested. Healing became harm; support became destruction."

When a character, typically an OC, has an extreme amount of traumatic or life-changing events in their life that ultimately do not end up affecting the character's attitude or outlook on life and is simply trauma to be trauma for shock value.
"Jenny's OC Markus's backstory is basically just traumaporn. His dog died, his mom died, he got ran over, and he blew up, and he STILL thinks that the world is all sunshine and rainbows as if it never happened!
