Technically

When used at the beginning of a sentence, this word is a variety of the 'filler' word basically. Another direct replacement for technically is essentially. Maybe the speaker sees his or her own bad speech patterns and recycles these three words while speaking. Filler words add absolutely nothing to the sentence being spoken. Other filler words include like, just, and stuff and y'know, but they tend to be in the middle of or at the end of a sentence. Filler words are rarely used in writing and are part of acquired speech habits.

Technically Annoying

When somebody corrects you with 'Technically,...' to get out of saying something stupid or insulting you, and you have to forgive them because they're right, even though it's extrememly annoying of them.

Technically annoying people usually know in the first place that you're going to get mad at what they say, and they also usually know that the technicality of their words gives them a free pass to say this insult/phrase to you all the time.
Jeremy: 'Haha, you're a homo.'
Samantha: 'Excuse me? I'm not gay.'
Jeremy: 'Technically, homo could mean gay OR homosapien, like you have two legs. So I wasn't insulting you.'
Samantha: 'Sorry.' *Thinking* You're technically ANNOYING. Ugh.

Technically Single

The transitory status between being single and being in a vaguely serious/committing relationship. Used either to justify a casual lay, or to avoid it.
Often comes with uncertainty as to whether to update one's relationship status on social networks.
Example 1:
- "Guess what dude - I totally banged Sarah last night"
- "What?? I thought you were seeing Jane?"
- "Yeah man, but it's not serious yet. I am technically single".
- "Ah, ok then".

Example 2:
- "Man, I think Sarah fancies you. Why don't you two go out?"
- "Nah dude, I am technically single, but I'm going out with Jane and I like her".
- "Then you should change your facebook profile!"

technically

Means basically. If some thing is complicated, or a smudge complex, it can relate back to the first bit. Just look at the example...
i drew a picture for my boyfriend, but I also decided to copy it and enter it into a contest; when i give to to him, i will say 'Technically, i made this for you' since that isn't the only reason I used it.
