Spankist

A spankist is any person who has a propensity to administer spanking as their preferred form of corporal punishment. A spankist (or spanki, plural) is usually an adult who performs the spank on a young child. Spanki are most often parents or family relatives, with daycare givers or babysitters being less common examples. An elementary school teacher was once considered to be the defining institutionalized spankist, but this practice has largely abated since the Post-war era.

"As a spankist, I believe that time-out is an ineffective punishment."

swankienda

Combination of swanky and hacienda. This term was coined in Houston Texas by Maxine Mesinger, a writer for the Houston Chronicle, and chiefly refers to higher-end or unique Southern architecture of any era. Swankienda is a compliment, not a put-down, and shouldn't be confused with the term McMansion.

Joe: "Are you going to Hazel's party?"
Jane: "Definitely! It's going to be in the backyard of her fabulous mid-century-mod swankienda ."
