Whereas the USA and China are mostly military superpowers, the European Union is destined to become the world's economic and political superpower.

Superpower

A nation with a colossal influence across the globe. A superpower has plenty of allies, a strong military, and, although not a requirement, normally has a better standard of living than most nations.

The only two superpowers as of 2021 are the rivaling nations of The United States and China.

Russia, The European Union, and India are all honorable mentions and top contenders for becoming superpowers should the other two go to shit.

It would be suicide if North Korea went to war with the superpower, The United States. As much as it sucks to say, the same applies to China and Taiwan.
