Stephen King

Stephen King is an American author from Portland Maine, regarded as the "King of Horror", he is most famously known for his horror novels including Misery, Carrie, The Shining, It, and Pet Sematary. He also has some fantasy and drama novels too like his novella "The Body" (the film adaptation for this novel is Stand By Me), The Shawshank Redemption, and The Dark Tower. All of his works were made into movies and most of these movies received very positive views from critics and grossed quite a bit of money. The Shining and The Shawshank Redemption being the most popular. However, King did not like the film adaptation of The Shining. He didn't like who the director (Stanley Kubrick) cast as the main antagonist (Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrence), how they twisted the plot, and how Kubrick glossed over important morals from the book like the dangers of alcoholism (because King wrote the book while suffering from alcoholism).
Stephen King's writing style in most of his novels is that kid(s) are usually main protagonist(s) and adult(s) are usually the main antagonist(s). Looks at his stories like the ones listed above. The only one I can think of that is an exception to this is "Misery" where the main protagonist and antagonist are both adults.

Stephen King-ed it.

When a movie, book, or story being told by a friend tells a wonderful story, with vivid colors and great imagination, but absolutely fucks up the ending with something that doesn't make any sense and seems like the ending was created by a cat or some other animal.
Friend 1: Dude, I watched Fight Club over the weekend. Those last 5 minutes were the worst movie ending ever.

Friend 2: Oh my god, they sure Stephen King-ed it.
