Ring Around The Rosey

1. A classic Nursery Rhyme always sung in preschools, day cares, and kindergarten classes all over.
2. One of the most gothic songs ever.

Although never confirmed, this seemingly harmless nursery rhyme is believed by many people to refer to the Black Plague in Europe during the Middle Ages. It seems quite strange, and even a little scary for 5 year old kids to be singing to this song.

Here's a breakdown of the song:

Ring Around the Rosey(victims of the plague would usually have a red, swollen ring around their eyes)

A pocket full of posies(people would carry flowers in their pockets to cover the lingering smell of death, and some people even thought they would ward off the disease)

Ashes, Ashes(this refers to the fact that they would take dead bodies and people suffering from the disease, throw them in pits, and burn their bodies to slow down the spread of the disease)

We all fall down(basically this means death)
Ring around the Rosey.
A pocket full of posies.
Ashes, Ashes.
We all fall down.

The thought of innocent children singing this song in their nursery schools is pretty bone chilling.

Rosey

A girl who is beautiful, and has her moments where she knows it and other moments where she doesn't think so at all. Often brunette, or auburn hair. Short or tall, often skinny. She's gorgeous. Yet she picks out her little flaws and worries about them too much. She often has a lot of shit going on, and struggles with dealing with it and putting it aside, but somehow manages to every time. She makes one of the best best friends you could ever have, and is always there for you. You can rely on her with anything. If you're friends with a Rosey, don't let her go. You'd regret it. She's sensitive and once someone tells her something bad about herself, she can't think any different unless proven otherwise. She get's caught up in the moment to realize what is best for her a lot of the time, so she gets hurt easily. She puts an amazing impact of many of those lives who she walks into. She is incredibly talented, yet never good enough for herself. She always tries her best at everything, including helping others. She knows what it feels like to just feel like nothing, so she works hard to make sure she doesn't hurt others. She has very many little secrets, but very few dark, deep secrets who nobody knows about. She's hilarious and can make anybody's day brighter. She's adorable, sweet, caring, helpful, gorgeous, sensitive, and beautiful. She puts an impact on everyone's life that she walks into. Nobody ever forgets her.

Rowleyism

A phrase created by writer Douglas Murray on Metropolitan Police’s former assistant commissioner Mark Rowley, indicating a false equivalency that serves a dishonest political purpose. To quote Mr Murray:

"Mark Rowley embedded the idea that the UK faces an equally balanced challenge: Islamist extremism on the one side, far-right extremism on the other. In order to sustain this equation it appears that for the time-being one must draw a moral equivalence between Muslims who blow things up and non-Muslims who do not, but have mean views. And an equivalence between Muslims who call for murder and non-Muslims who do not. "

Rowleyism is giving equal or similar weight to both or using one to decontextualise the other
To say that you are more concerned about right-wing nuts than Islamists is a dangerous example of Rowleyism.
