Rowling moment

The point when someone with unpopular or problematic views finally shares them and loses any ambiguity or plausible deniability.
“...we were never 100% certain about his views, but eventually he had a Rowling moment while drunk and then spiralled all the way down into full-on Glinner”

"Just Kidding"

An evolution of the acronym "jk" for "just kidding" is associated with the celebrated author J.K. Rowling. Over time, the "J.K." was dropped and shortened the term to "Rowling"
"He said that he didn't feel like coming to the party, but when he eventually showed up, he claimed he was just Rowling."

The J.K Rowling Effect

When an author tries to make their content more relatable by outright stating lore instead of including it in their media.
Joe: Do you watch TANKMEN?
Candice: No, It was ruined by the J.K Rowling Effect

Rowling

A term coined in the 2020s by streamer RTGame, a rowling refers to someone you genuinely don't want to mention because you're so disapointed to even say their name (unspeakable disapointment).

The term in essence is used when you do not wish to say someones name. This could be for a variety of reasons but is meant to be used when the reason comes from a negative light. Some such reasons being immeasurable disappointment in their actions, hatred for who they are or have become, or a complete wish to not show the respect of speaking of them by name, instead calling them a rowling.

The etymology of the term comes from Joanne "JK" Rowling, whom many don't even want to mention due to her awful values in accordance with transgender folks along with her racism and utter stupidity in going from beloved childrens author, to widely known terf and bigot. The term comes about in comparison to the character in her books Voldemort, who most do not want to mention by name because of their fear of him, or in another context because they do not believe his name deserves to be said. Joanne became a rowling when she decided to show her true self in all her bigotry, making people hate her, or so disappointed in her that they do not want to even say her name.
Elizabeth: What ever happened to Miko?
Gwendolyn: That rowling doesn't deserve to be mentioned by name after what she's done.

JK Rowling

The author behind the Harry Potter franchise. And if you are LGBT+, you'd likely know her as the women exploiting the community for diversity points yet refuses to explore the sexuality she claimed for her characters. Also known as the author going against the very own community she exploited by posting transphobic ideas.
Kaitlyn: Stop calling JK Rowling transphobic. She had a right to an opinion!
Laura: An opinion isn't an opinion if it discriminates another person. By that logic, we should excuse racism because it is just an "opinion" too. Also, if she genuinely had a problem, she would come with a solution instead of antagonizing an entire group of already oppressed people. Her women rights crap is just her trying to cover up her transphobia.

J.K.Rowling

Well known transphobe who wants credit for putting representation in her books without actually putting much in, saying that characters were gay after the books came out. WHEN IT WASN'T RELEVANT, HELPFUL OR REPRESENTATION - AS SHE THOUGHT IT WAS - AND NOBODY WAS THINKING ABOUT DUMBLEDORE'S SEX LIFE. And naming an Asian character Cho Chang, do I need to explain why that is a problem? Also don't get me started on the house elves.

And on a similar topic STOP SEXUALISING DRACO MALFOY, HE IS A CHILD THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SERIES IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ARE A CHILD AS WELL SEXUALISING HIM IS WEIRD AND BAD. YOU CAN HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM (don't know why you would because he calls Hermione a muggle, which in that world is I believe equivalent to the n-word in that universe, which is one of the reasons Hermione should've been black) BUT SEXUALISING HIM, A CHILD, IS GROSS.

Thank you for your time.
Person: J.K.Rowling is a horrible person, who doesn't take criticism and learn.
