Pseudo

An individual who, whether in reaction to having been an outcast in the past or just by the choice to be an overall disagreeable, opinionated individual who usually frequents coffee shops, don’t believe in drinking alcohol and “don’t watch TV” . This is a point of pretension for them, since what TV was and what it has become are vastly different things. The pseudo will sir at a coffee shop etc of preference on a limitless coffee tab and criticize everything except for the few things and people they like. They tend to carry a sense of entitlement and don’t respect rules of any place. If a pseudo is a musician or otherwise somehow involved in the arts, he/ she looks down on the art of others having universal appeal or potential for success.

A) My ex boyfriend’s pseudo friends jammed at his house religiously and if I was around, my every move was under the most critical scrutiny and I was always talked down to. B) The pseudos who ran and practically lived at my neighborhood coffee shop were constantly heckling me when I showed up to get my latte. They did not believe in doing anything but reading or pretending to read and gossiping with and about the other coffee shop regulars. The biggest pseudo announced that he doesn’t watch television . I asked him “What if PBS had an all day marathon of your favorite movies?” He said that would be no exception. Apparently pseudos do it not believe in clothes that match.

Sarcastic title, proudly used by those with Engineering degrees, when others without the degree, claim to be Engineers.

A supervisor introducing the working team to a new member:
"Even though he’s the only one with a real Engineering degree, Jack calls himself a Pseudo-Engineer because others here in the company claim to be Software Engineers but their degrees are from everything from Political Science to Accounting."

1: A person without an Engineering Degree who claims being an Engineer simply because they work in Engineering tasks.

2: A person who hasn’t gone through the rigors of Engineering School, yet pretends to be an Engineer.

Guy 2: "Oh cool! My brother's an Engineer. What's your degree on?"
Guy 1: "Well, it's in Graphic Design, but I have a Java certification and write software for a living."

Pseudo Celebrity

A pseudo celebrity is someone who has become famous without having done anything to deserve it, they are the wasters, the drones and parasites of humanity. Having achieved nothing worthwhile, they are best described as the liggers and Kim Kardashians of this world, the braindead youtubers, talentless and lacking any sort of distinction. They are the self-centred and egotistical nonentities for whom princess syndrome is a way of life. The only reason they are celebrities is because they have more egotisticalbullshit than normal people, they are pseuds, thus pseudo celebrities.

Is the rise of the pseudo celebrity a sign that the human race has gone to rat shit?
