Ombre

A French term meaning "shaded." Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark. The color effect, generally produced by arranging different tones in the warp.
This is often seen in hair, clothes, or even art.

Girl 1: Damn gurl your hair looks awesome.

Girl2: Yeah betch it's the new Ombre look. Be jealous.
