Hoovy is a slang word for the character Heavy in the Team fortress series. It is commonly used to describe a new heavy, or a player who is a fan of My Little Pony, and is currently playing as the Heavy. It is also sometimes used in competitive, where a Heavy who isn't very good, or isn't a threat. It can also mean a Heavy who isn't shooting.

Hoovies normally wander alone in their ecosystem, ocasionally encoutering hoovies of the opposing team to reproduce. This shows a major flaw in the evolution: Hoovies are extremely vulnerable to predators, hence their diminishing population.
Hoovies show a mutualistic relation with other species: Those who show friendliness towards them are considered part of the group, occasionaly inciting interbreeding between the two.
Hoovies are rare and severely endangered. Their natural predators, Pyro and Soldier mains, have grown exceptionally quick, in favor of their adaptation to the environment. While most hoovies can be found on public and community habitats, some still live, though disappearing quickly, in competitive areas.
