The highly evolved, socially, culturally, and intellectually advanced northern half of New Jersey. Unlike South Jersey folk, when we speak, we communicate intelligent, meaningful thoughts that are not muddied by some pseudo-Philly/Alabama accent. Our neighborhoods are beautiful and historic with green lawns, towering maples and tasteful homes. We do not consider a trailer park a "community." Our time is occupied by endeavours much greater than smoking weed and guzzling cheap beer in a clearing while yammering on endlessly about the Eagles. In North Jersey you can go out to dinner every night for a month and never have the same type of food twice. South Jersey is pretty much all hoagies and Tasty Cakes. Our public schools are consistently tops in the nation, and produce people who are highly successful in their chosen fields. North Jersey is a wonderful, livable place, and any objective outsider would choose to settle here over South Jersey every time. After all, the shore is just a quick car ride from any town in Bergen County. When you're done, you have the luxury of driving home to your amazing Victorian up north. Whereas Pineys are faced with the grim reality of piling, shirtless, into their beat-up truck and returning to a nasty "mobile home community." But not before a stop at the local Wawa for Miller Lite, Marlboros, and a tin of Copenhagen for Grandma.

Get the North Jerseymug. Part of Jersey that is VERY close to New York and seems more city-like than South Jersey. South Jersey residents love to hate on us North Jersey people because we are more advanced and don't depend on hoes and beers to have fun. Yes, i admit that South Jersey is a nice place to go for the summer, but what the fuck to they do when summer's over? It's a lame ass area once it gets a little breezy. They also seem to be a bit racist, considering that they crack on North Jersey people for their mix of races. Don't be jealous cuz we're more divorce. Most of South Jersey is occupied by ignorant whites who give latinos and african americans the only dirty looks when they visit. South Jersey=Lame. So what if north jersey has some rougher neighborhoods. It just shows that the residents there could adjust to different, harder environments. They don't have to stay in their little simple boring towns in South Jersey.

Get the North Jerseymug. First off north jersey is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM SOUTH JERSEY. Most people in south jersey complain about how they hate north jersey and our nyc similarities and think we should be a separate state.. but hey, having south jersey and north jersey as separate states sounds just as great for us too.
A lot of people in north jersey have a North Jersey accents, not New York accents, because that dosn't make sense; we just have very simaler accents to the NYC accent.
We dont usually get too worked up about why south jersey hates that we love our vicinity to NYC and we root there teams, and they also call us wanna-be's but, im going to be the first one to say, what about there obsession with Philadelphia? is that any different of us liking NYC?
We have better food than south jersey, better shopping than south jersey, and we put sprinkles on our ice cream after we have hero.
because having hoagie and ice cream with jimmy's on them makes me sound like a Eagles fan! no one likes losing.
And we also have a very mixed diversity of cultures and races. And people call North Jersey all stuck up and rich.. WRONG, i love how south jersey act as if Newark, Irvington, Paterson, and Jersey City dont exist because those are one of the most populated cities in this state and are the cities that have the lowest incomes in the state.. but we're thankful for those cities. At least we have large urban areas so we dont have to depend everything on New York like you south jerseyians do with Philadelphia.
And we have a few New Jersey teams, and us North Jersey people root for them, but you south jersey peopl continue to worship the Phili flyers other then the NJ Devils. New Jersey is your state not Pennsylvania.
I mean the only thing worth while in south jersey is the shore. And if we piss you off so much being there, then move to Pennsylvania because NJ is a whole.
