L.A. Noire

Probably the best game of 2011 so far. Yes, it beats Portal 2.
Excellent story, graphics, and the solving mysteries, looking for clues, etc. are excellent. you find yourself going on gaming marathons of this game. It's tied with Red Dead Redemption for my favorite game.

Epic game for PS3 and Xbox 360. Takes place in Los Angeles 1947. You play as a detective named Cole Phelps, solving crimes, finding clues, and interrogating suspects. By solving crimes you earn EXP to level up to the next rank. Amazing graphics and game play.
