Lame Duck Period

Period after a break up where you're looking for a new babe.
Dude 1: Bro are you still with Jessica?
Dude 2: nah dude, she broke up with me last week, I'm in the lame duck period

Lame Duck Syndrome

A condition in which the affected individual is unwilling to exert effort into maintaining friendships so resorts to collecting 'lame ducks' (the socially inept) who are otherwise incapable of forming friendships. A degree of empathy is involved as those with lame Duck Syndrome lack the ability to leave people marginalised or uncomfortable in social situations; they gravitate towards the socially awkward 'lame ducks' in an attempt to make them feel more comfortable. The 'lame ducks' are consequently grateful and cling to the affected believing in the existence of a friendship, thus the affected often suffer as they do not end up socialising with the people they ought to be, but rather act as the glue holding together a group of social outcasts.
This syndrome may be recognised in an individual who does not appear socially defective, yet socialises (in an often perfunctory manner) with those who are; the 'weird kids', outsiders and the psychologically unstable.
Why is John hanging out with the weird kids again?
He's got Lame Duck Syndrome, he can't help it.

Lame Duck McCain

Used to describe John McCain's likely one term candidacy for President... a reference to Chuck Norris movie "Lone Wolf McQuade"...
You can only wonder what kind of hell will come from a single term of Lame Duck McCain...

Lame Duck Class

That one class in college that you become reluctant to attend later on in the semester. No matter what you do for the remainder of the semester, you cannot pass the class with a good grade. This is usually due in part to bizarre or unfair weighing on assignments by the professor.
Person 1: Ugh I don't feel like going to calc II today.
Person 2: Why's that?
Person 1: Because of that one test I bombed earlier, the highest grade I can get is a 68 assuming I ace that final.
Person 2: Boy, what a lame duck class!

Lame Duck Larry

When something is super lame, it can be described as Lame Duck Larry. In extreme cases, you can say that something/someone is "the lamest of all the ducks named Larry".
Person A: Ow, I stubbed my toe.
Person B: Well that's Lame Duck Larry!
