In an MMORPG, you can grab a mob's attention and keep walking away from it which pulls it along. Not unlike a kite

Some guys in WoW were kiting a high level boss character into Stromwind and got banned.

Kin / Kinning / Kinnie

Almost the same as being a “Synpath” or an “Otherlink”, a “Kinnie” is a person who “Kins” a character (usually fictional). “Kinning” is when you closely relate to a character (in ways such as a characters backstory, personality, looks, or all of the above). A person who kins may identify with the character. “Kinning” a character is not the same as “being kin to” a character.

A person who kins may feel closely related to a character involuntarily, or they may choose to kin characters. In the same way, a kinnie may lose the connection with the character over time or they may choose to stop kinning the character.

Kinnies can have many kins from different movies, anime, video games, books, and more! Most people who kin will put each character in a “Kins List”.

The terms “Kin”, “Kinning”, and “Kinnie” have replaced the term “Synpath” over time, as the variety of words are easier to say in conversation and they have grown more popular.

“Kinsidering” is when a person is getting to know a character to decide if it is a kin or not. “Kinfirmed” is a word used when a kinnie confirms that a new character fits their kins list.

Kin:
“I kin Ryoma Hoshi from Danganronpa V3.”

Kinning:
“Kinning feels natural to me.”

Kinnie:
“I am a Ryoma kinnie.”

Lion kinging

Lifting a small animal or child into the air and singing the circle of life, preferably with some sort of light shining on you, like rafiki does to simba at the start of the lion king.

Girl 1: dude, if you do don't stop lion kinging the cat, she's gonna scratch your eyes out.

Cat: Meeeoooowwwww *scratch*

kiting

Basicaly a hit-and-run technique commonly used in (but not limited to) MMORPG games (attacking monster then running, then attacking again.)

Game: Hey I just kited that monster.
Chatroom: That spammer is kiting and i cant kick him out.

Check Kiting

Referencing a personal bank account, the account holder will write a check knowing there is no money in the account in the hopes that by the time the check reaches the bank there will be money in the account. This system can also apply to cashing a check from an account and then depositing some of the cash in the same account in order to cover a previously written hot check. And repeating this process several times until the account holders gets paid.
POKER TABLE - Kiting someones checks means borrowing or taking chips from another player in order to play.

Jesus, I've been check kiting for three days. I need to hurry up and get paid.

After Tommy busted out of the game he kited like 2 dimes in checks from me to keep playing. He won it all back and then some!

Roleplaying/Acting as, if not believing you actually are, a specific fictional character.

"I enjoy kinning in my spare time."

"You're a kinstagramer?"

"Yeah, I kin Zim."

"...Tiny green alien-"

"I am Zim in the flesh, don't mock my height, inferior human pig smelly!"
